Our Story

Korean-New Zealander harpist Ina Yoon founded Harpitree NZ in 2017 while she was working as an international trade expert and a semi-professional harpist. When Ina tried to find a small lap harp in New Zealand, she was disappointed to notice such a narrow selection of harps. So, she started a harp dealership using her expertise and imported a few small harps to New Zealand.

Harpitree NZ was the first and is the nation's leading harp distributor/dealer,  offering various harp options from a 5st Baby Kiwi Harp to a Gold Grand Pedal harp.

Harpitree NZ represents highly regarded harp brands such as Lyon & Healy, Salvi, Camac (works with an official distributor Harps and Harps (AU), Harpsicle-Harps, Mikel Harps, Waring Harps, Harpitree-Harps, and other harp and musical items.

Harpitree NZ is also the nation's most prominent harp-specialised music school. At the music school, students can learn from qualified and experienced tutors how to play harps ranging from a small lap harp to a grand pedal harp. The school has multiple sites across Auckland: East Tamaki, Remuera, and Mount Albert.
